Did You Know...
We spend about 90% of our time indoors. Indoor Air Quality affects everyone, especially the most vulnerable - children, the elderly, and people with health conditions like asthma and heart disease.
Indoor Air is two to five times more polluted than outdoor air
Most of our exposure to environmental pollutants occurs by breathing the air indoors. These pollutants come from activities, products and materials we use every day. The air in our homes, schools and offices can be two to five times more polluted, and in some cases 100 times more polluted, than outdoor air. In fact, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), concentrations of pollutants may be 2 to 5 times higher inside homes and commercial buildings than outdoors.
